The Making
We pride ourselves on all our products being handmade and hand sewn from the best full grain leathers available from around the world. The information below will give you an idea of just how each piece is crafted.
From design to the last stitch everything is meticulously crafted to be the very best it can be.
Everything we do is made to last and we want you to enjoy your piece for many years to come.
Classic and timeless design combined with handmade craftsmanship are at the forefront of what we do.
Design
Template
Each and every one of our products has been designed by ourselves. Each design goes through multiple versions and is tested by ourselves. Once we are happy with a design we then cut the design out on to cardboard so that we can then use this as a temple to then transfer on to the leather.
Hand cut
Cutting out
Each product starts out from a whole hide of leather and is then hand cut using our own templates into the exact shapes required for each piece.
At this stage we also pre-punch all the stitching holes required for hand sewing.

The Details
After each part is cut out it goes through multiple stages before we even begin to assemble the piece.
This includes skiving parts of the leather down, edge creasing, bevelling and burnishing. Its these stages that start to build a beautiful finish and finesse to a piece
Often it's all the small details that really bring a piece to life.

Assembly
Once each process for the individual parts has been finished its time to start assembling things together.
This stage includes glueing and stitching different parts of the design together in a specific order that will eventually create the final design.
Saddle stitch
Perfectly Hand Sewn
Every item we make is meticulously sewn by hand. While this is a much longer process than using a machine it is time honoured technique that produces a stronger and more durable seam.
The type of stitching technique we use is the saddle stitch.
Saddle stitching is a durable hand-sewing method that uses two needles and a single thread to form a series of interlocking stitches.
To achieve this stitch we use a French style pricking iron at 3.38mm to perfectly mark out where the stitching needs to be and hand sew through these markings.
We use a linen thread that we coat in beeswax. This helps strengthen the fibers of the thread and also adds a small amount of moisture resistance as well. By applying the beeswax to the thread it will help the thread go through the leather with more ease and helps the stitch lock more securely.
last but not least
Finishing touches
Nearing complete and all stitched the last remaining edges will then be edge creased, bevelling and burnishing.
Once fully complete each piece is treat will some leather care and is then ready to be posted out to it new home.
